Guest Room Reveal!

It’s been a little while since I’ve blogged on here! It’s been a CRAZY summer and start to the fall. Survival mode has been our moto! Over the month of August, we worked to finish our basement guest room space and I wanted to share it with you all today! We have a lot of September company, so that was just what we needed to kick us into high gear and finish off this space!

When we bought our home in January 2017, the basement was one, giant, unusable room. I’m honestly not sure what I would have done with it the way it was. We immediately built a wall to separate the space into two rooms - one for an office and one for a guest room! The basement already had a small bathroom/laundry combo, so we knew adding a guest room would make it kind of its own “suite!” Not to mention, adding a fourth bedroom increased our home’s value by about $10,000 (and we only spent $1,000 to build the wall) - a GREAT investment if you ask me! And who wouldn’t want a custom double office and a huge wall of bookshelves? Just realized I never did a blog post about our office (it’s been finished for a year) - you can scroll back through my Instagram feed to see it! Maybe I’ll write up a post about it!

I knew I had to stick to a limited budget for our guest room - projects like that are always a fun challenge for me! And let’s be real - I’m always on a budget! I had a great time gathering items to finish off the space. Here are some photos of the final look! I’ll share sources below!
