Back in the spring, I shared quite a few Friday Faves posts - you all loved them! So I thought I’d bring that back - with a twist! I’m now almost 24 weeks pregnant with baby number two and I’d love to share some things I’m enjoying this pregnancy!
Snoogle Pregnancy Pillow
This pillow is my NUMBER ONE recommendation to my pregnant friends. I got it when I was 20 weeks pregnant with my first and I slept sooo well that first pregnancy - really up until the very end, thanks to this pillow! I pulled it out at about 18 weeks along with this pregnancy and ordered a fresh case for it (this one). It has again saved my sleeping life! I’ve only had one night of a couple hours of insomnia so far (knock on wood)!
Contigo Water Bottle
Sometimes it’s easy to use the same water bottle for years on end without a replacement. But getting a fresh one every so often usually helps with water intake (at least for me)! Something about an old water bottle that isn’t so appealing! I knew I wanted a water bottle with a straw because with the amount of water I need to drink during pregnancy, a straw is just much easier + faster! This bottle is perfect! My goal right now is 80 oz. per day and over the next few weeks I’d love to bump that up to 100 oz. per day! At 28 weeks with Kya, I started drinking a gallon a day! It definitely helped and I never swelled. I love that this bottle is 20 oz. so it’s easy for me to count how much I’m drinking each day!
Burt’s Bees Belly Butter
I definitely enjoy faithfully applying belly butter to my growing belly! My skin often feels tight and I know moisturizing is so important to help with stretch marks. You can’t totally avoid them (if you can please tell me your secret) but I was careful to moisturize with my first pregnancy and only ended up with a few lines around my belly button. We’ll see what happens this time! I’m using this Burt’s Bees Belly Butter and I love how thick it is! I’m only halfway through the container and I’ve been using it since for four months!
Convertible Maternity/Nursing Bras
I ordered a few of these nursing bras last weekend and just got them in the mail! I think they’ll work great for the rest of this pregnancy and throughout the time I’m nursing the baby. They’re structured enough to be worn out but comfortable to well, be comfortable! Of course, these kinds of choices are extremely personal and the styles vary widely but I think these will work really well for me!
Fitted V-Neck Tees
I ordered some of these tees early on in pregnancy and they have been my most go-to shirts! I wear them on their own around the house or under a cardigan to go out! They fit from early pregnancy through the end - so stretchy! Definitely worth grabbing a few in neutral colors!
Diffusing lavender oil in our room at night helps so much with sleep! I buy our essential oils through Plant Therapy these days! They offer 100% pure essential oils (singles, blends, and much more) at great prices! You can order straight through their website! And bonus - if you shop through the link I provided, you’ll get $10 off your first purchase of $25!
These maternity overalls from Motherhood were definitely a splurge purchase for me this fall. I usually shop sales + deals, but I just had to have these (making my own income on the side gives me a little flexibility with fun purchases like this). They retail for $60 but have gone on sale a few times recently! At the time of this post, you can get all Motherhood Maternity jeans (including these overalls) for $29 - might be the time to snag a set! I’ve never seen them this cheap!!!
I wear them in all different ways - alone with a tee, with a turtleneck sweater underneath, with a tank and a cardigan, etc.! So many possibilities! I feel like these are definitely a three-season piece, maybe even a four-season piece depending on where you live. You can style them with sandals, slip-ons, or booties! They might be the most comfortable maternity piece I own! I know I’ll definitely use them again if I’m pregnant in the future.
The Magic of Motherhood
This book needs a place on every nursery side table. I plan to put mine there when our son’s room is complete for something to read while I’m nursing him! It’s the most beautiful collection of essays on motherhood - and it will make you cry your eyes out! It would be super sweet to begin reading it during pregnancy! It’s broken up into separate essays to it takes just a few minutes to read each one. At the time of this post, it’s on sale - under $9 for the hardcover version!
Hello in There! A Big Sister’s Book of Waiting
This book is on my list to get for our daughter. She is LOVING this pregnancy almost as much as I am! Just yesterday morning she was laying on my lap/belly while she was watching a show and I was reading. Baby boy kicked the side of her head (no joke) at least 25 times in a row! She loves the anticipation of having a sibling! This book sounds super sweet - just go read the Amazon description! We have another book written by this author called “In My Heart” and it’s probably my favorite kids’ book we own. I am excited to get this one for Kya!
If you wear dresses at all during winter pregnancies, maternity tights are a must-have in my opinion! I’m actually not sure how I survived a previous winter pregnancy without them! Maybe because I lived in Oregon where it wasn’t as cold. I got this two-pack of tights from H&M last month and they’ve kept me warm and cozy on days I want to wear dresses! They go up over the bump and keep everything in place!
