This is my last Friday Faves post! It's been a super fun series! What would you like next? I have some ideas but I'd love to hear from YOU!
Last month someone shared this recipe for breakfast potatoes on a Facebook group I'm part of and I cannot stop making them! They're SUPER easy + full of flavor. The key is to make sure you use fresh rosemary! We cook breakfast most days so we'll make these on a weekday, but they would be extra special for a Saturday or Sunday morning when you might have more time!
I get asked a lot if I could do a post on my favorite house plants. While I don't consider myself a plant expert AT ALL (I've killed plenty of plants) I am learning over time what works and what doesn't and how to care for different indoor plants. My favorite plant right now is the yucca plant. I picked it up at Home Depot last fall for (I think) $16. It's been thriving in our living room ever since! It's easy to care for and might be a good starter plant if you've been wanting to add a houseplant. They need lots of light and are very drought tolerant (read: easy to care for)!
Old Navy Rockstar Jeggings
If you watch my Instagram stories you have definitely heard me rave about these jeggings. I purchased my first pair last fall and feel like I could never go back to standard pants with buttons and zippers - haha! The elastic band makes these OH SO COMFY. Even though I'm my pre-baby size, there is something about being pregnant and wearing maternity pants that makes you want to continue with the elastic! I love these mid-rise jeggings (I own four pairs)! They're high enough to hold "stuff" in and stretchy enough to be worn all day! I was so excited a couple weeks ago when my friend Becca at Simply Becca announced that Old Navy came out with these pants in white! I ordered immediately! The sizing seems to be right on - I get a 4 tall for reference (tall because of my longs legs - not because I'm actually tall)!
Lotus Travel Crib + Playard
Kya is obviously too big to use this playard, but this week I was reminded how much I love it as I pulled it out for our weekend guests. I purchased it when Kya was nine months old because I needed some way to contain her (you guys, she started walking before nine months old)! It is WAY nicer than a standard pack n play. The mattress is super soft and the sheet (sold separately) is like velvet. We've used it at home for playing, for travel, for guests, or when a little friend needs to nap at our house. The price point is definitely higher than some travel cribs but I feel like it's been totally worth it!
Magic of Motherhood
You all know I love reading and I am working through my 2018 book list. This book has been on my list since it came out last spring and I finally got around to reading it a few months ago. It is a collection of essays put out by the writers at Coffee and Crumbs - my absolute favorite motherhood blog! It's been my go-to gift for new moms recently! It's the perfect book to read through bit by bit while feeding a newborn (because that's pretty much all a new mom does)! They are the sweetest, most heartfelt + honest essays about motherhood - get ready to ugly cry!
